Brick Set To Increase Beach Fees, Change Beach Parking Rules
The Brick Township Council also is set to approve an increase in garbage can fees for replacement or additional cans.

BRICK, NJ — Fees for Brick Township's beaches and for garbage and recycling cans are set to rise under a pair of ordinances up for approval this week.
The Brick Township Council is scheduled to meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the municipal building, one of three meetings set this week. The Board of Adjustment is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, and the Brick Township Board of Education has a 7 p.m. meeting on Thursday.
The fee changes up for approval on Tuesday by the council are the first increases in several years. The beach fees reflect the impact of the increase in New Jersey's minimum wage; and those fees can only be applied to the expenses of operating the beach.
Beach fees would increase to $10-$20 from $8-$15 for daily badges and to $30-$40 for season passes. The ordinance also would require buses or vans carrying 15 people or more to obtain permits in advance to park and unload passengers at the township's beaches.
The parking hours for the beaches would change to 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
The zoning board meeting set for Wednesday is the regularly scheduled meeting and the agenda includes hearings for projects at four private homes. There is a court-ordered special meeting of the zoning board set for Dec. 20 on the Temple Beth Or application.
The school board meeting agenda is usually posted two days before the meeting and was not yet available on the district's website.
