senior citizens, at-home dental care, Alzheimer's Respite Care
Toms River, NJ (December 7, 2017) Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey (CVCJ) honored Dr. Stuart Rubin, founder of Dental Home Services, with it’s 2018 ARCP Humanitarian Award for service to homebound seniors who are living with Alzheimer’s Disease. The award was announced at CVCJ’s volunteer appreciation luncheon on December 6, 2017. Dr. Rubin was chosen because of his long-term support of this non-profit agency and his dedication to improving the quality of life for those with dementia and their caregivers.
Dr. Rubin started Dental Home Services twenty years ago, when a family member suffered a stroke and became unable to get out to medical and dental appointments. It didn’t take long for Dr. Rubin to turn this unfortunate event into positive action, starting his at home dental practice. Over the past twenty years, the availability and quality of mobile dental equipment has improved dramatically, and he is able to use the most technologically advanced mobile dental equipment to offer a full complement of dental services to homebound seniors. His specialty is serving patients with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.
Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey is proud to recognize Dr. Rubin’s significant contributions to New Jersey’s elderly community with this award.
