Husband and Wife Doctors Open New Office on Rt. 88
The Premier Healthcare and Atlantic OB/GYN office held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday
BRICK TOWNSHIP, N.J. - With the office staff of the new Premier Healthcare and Atlantic OBGYN standing by his side to celebrate, Mayor John Ducey cut a red ribbon, signifying the opening of a new business. The new healthcare office held its grand opening celebration on Wednesday.
The office opened where two abandoned houses once stood, Ducey said. Now, it’s a new medical center offering new options of care.
“To have additional services for our residents to use and have their doctors in such a nice, new, clear facility is a wonderful thing,” Ducey said.

The office is home to husband and wife team Dr. Hitesh Patel, M.D. and Dr. Vanita Patel, M.D. They decided to join and open a combined practice where they could take advantage of some local benefits.
“We wanted to be close to a hospital,” Hitesh Patel said. “We love the Brick community and we also wanted to be close to the shore. There are a lot of people here we can help.”

They felt the Route 88 location was ideal because it is near a lot of shore towns, giving them easier access to their patients.
“Our practices have been growing, and that’s why we decided to move to a newer office,” Vanita Patel said. “Brick is at the center of Ocean and Monmouth Counties, where we get a majority of our patients from, and it’s a growing population.”
History
Hitesh Patel got his career started at St. Vincent’s Catholic Medical Center, where he had his residency. Originally from Chicago, he then worked in the Bronx and Long Island for a few years before opening his own practice in New Jersey to be near his wife.
Vanita Patel, a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist, has been in the area for about 10 years. Her office was formerly located across from the Ocean Medical Center. She cares for women of all ages as well as delivering babies.
