1. 25 years later, Brick remembers (starnewsgroup.com) — Brick Township residents recently gathered at Windward Beach Park to honor eight community members with local ties who were killed on Sept. 11, 2001. The ceremony featured remarks from Mayor Lisa Crate, local clergy, Scouts, veterans and 9/11 widow Jennifer Sands, candlelight at the Angel in Anguish memorial, and a solemn reading of each victim's name.

Brick Library to present "Garden State Homegrown: A Tribute to New Jersey Musicians" on October 3rd (newjerseystage.com) — Brick residents can enjoy a free live musical tribute to New Jersey artists at the Brick Branch of the Ocean County Library on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 2 p.m. Husband-and-wife duo Gerard and Diane Barros will perform hits from icons like Bruce Springsteen and Dionne Warwick, with registration required to reserve a spot.
   

3. Gymnastics Top 10 rankings for Sept. 17: Some big teams put up some big numbers (nj.com subscription) — Brick Memorial's gymnastics team is off to a strong 2-0 start, posting scores over 105 and led by standout all-around performer Shea Wagner. A statewide Top 10 roundup highlights Brick Memorial among New Jersey's elite programs, while also noting that recent state championship meets were held in Brick, underscoring the township's role in high school gymnastics.
   

4. TeamBirth adding seven participating hospitals to its model, raising N.J. total to 33 (roi-nj.com) — Ocean University Medical Center in Brick is among seven New Jersey hospitals rolling out the TeamBirth program this fall, aiming to improve communication and safety during childbirth. The initiative, led by the New Jersey Health Care Quality Institute, has already boosted patients' sense of involvement in birth decisions, especially among historically underserved groups across the state.
