Roy Rogers Still Looking to Open in Brick

The Roy Rogers chain of fast food restaurants is still looking to open a location at the former Denny's building.

For years, Denny's was located at the corner of Brick Boulevard and Molly Lane. It closed last year.

Roy Rogers currently operates one other location in Ocean County – on Route 9 in Bayville – and has been slated to come before the township's planning board on several occasions as the approval process has moved on. The restaurant chain is scheduled to come before the board next Wednesday, June 27 for another hearing, said Township Planner Mike Fowler.

Fowler said unless any additional issues come up between now and next week, a vote is expected on the restaurant's application then.

The meeting is set for 7 p.m. next Wednesday at the township municipal complex.
