4 DWI, 16 Shoplifting Arrests Reported In Bridgewater
Bridgewater Township Police released its blotter for the month of October.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Multiple arrests for driving while intoxicated and shoplifting were reported throughout the month of October.

On Sept. 28 at around 1:41 p.m.: Lailah Chavez, 25, of Fords, was stopped for shoplifting at Target at 200 Promenade Blvd. Chavez stole store merchandise valued at $314.44. Chavez was issued a complaint summons with a pending court appearance.
On Sept. 29 at around 12:26 p.m.: A 19-year-old from Flemington was stopped for shoplifting at Sephora located within the Bridgewater Commons Mall. She stole store merchandise valued at $172.90. She was issued a complaint summons with a pending court appearance.

On Oct. 5 at around 6:20 p.m.: Shashi Bala, 66, of Edison, was stopped for shoplifting at Target at 200 Promenade Blvd. Bala stole store merchandise valued at $287.86. Bala was issued a complaint summons with a pending court appearance.
On Oct. 6 at around 6:21 p.m.: A 24-year-old from Raritan was stopped for shoplifting at Target at 200 Promenade Blvd. She stole store merchandise valued at $154.75. She was issued a complaint summons with a pending court appearance.
On Oct. 7 at around 12:47 p.m.: Zhanna Yasinchuk, 64, of Somerset, was stopped for shoplifting at Target at 200 Promenade Blvd. Yasinchuk stole store merchandise valued at $263.81. Yasinchuk was issued a complaint summons with a pending court appearance.
On Oct. 8 at around 12:56 p.m.: A 36-year-old from New York was stopped for shoplifting at Target at 200 Promenade Blvd. He stole store merchandise valued at $26.72. He was issued a complaint summons with a pending court appearance.
On Oct. 8 at around 6:51 p.m.: A 30-year-old from Manville was stopped for shoplifting at Target at 200 Promenade Blvd. She stole store merchandise valued at $121.96. She was issued a complaint summons with a pending court appearance.
On Oct. 11 at around 7:31 p.m.: A 19-year-old from Somerset was stopped for shoplifting at Target at 200 Promenade Blvd. He stole store merchandise valued at $41.36. He was issued a complaint summons with a pending court appearance.
On Oct. 14 at around 2:09 p.m.: A 47-year-old from Somerset was stopped for shoplifting at Target at 200 Promenade Blvd. She stole store merchandise valued at $141.74. She was issued a complaint summons with a pending court appearance.
On Oct. 18 at around 2:03 a.m.: Ricardo Zapata, 46, of Plainfield, was stopped on Route 22 West for failing to maintain his lane of travel. Zapata was arrested for DWI and issued the following summonses: driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and failure to maintain lane. Zapata was released with a pending court appearance.
On Oct. 18 at around 2:16 a.m.: Junior Suriel-Gonzalez, 38, of Manville, was involved in a motor-vehicle crash at the intersection of East Main Street and Grand Blvd. Suriel- Gonzalez was subsequently arrested for DWI and issued the following summonses: driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to chemical testing, careless driving, reckless driving, failure to report an accident, leaving the scene of an accident, unsafe lane change, and refusal to submit to breath testing. Suriel-Gonzalez was released with a pending court appearance.
On Oct. 19 at around 2:23 p.m.: Hasbleidy Sulay Davila Florez, 43, of Flushing, NY was arrested for shoplifting at Marshalls at 125 Promenade Blvd. Florez stole store merchandise valued at $774.85. Florez was issued a summons for shoplifting and released with a pending court appearance.
On Oct. 19 at around 4:05 p.m.: Two 19-year-olds from Bridgewater, were stopped for shoplifting at Target at 200 Promenade Blvd. They stole store merchandise totaling $210.55. They were issued a complaint summons for shoplifting with a pending court appearance.
On Oct. 21 at around 9:39 a.m.: A 39-year-old from Warren was stopped for shoplifting at Target at 200 Promenade Blvd. He stole store merchandise valued at $184. He was issued a complaint summons and released with a pending court appearance.
On Oct. 23 at around 3:43 p.m.: A 32-year-old from Edison was stopped for shoplifting at Nordstrom Rack at 362 Chimney Rock Road. She stole store merchandise valued at $39.94. She was issued a complaint summons with a pending court appearance.
On Oct. 24 at around 3:43 p.m.: A 54-year-old from Manville was stopped for shoplifting at Target at 200 Promenade Blvd. She stole store merchandise valued at $188. She was issued a summons for shoplifting and released with a pending court appearance.
On Oct. 26 at around 12:54 a.m.: Jose Abarca Gomero, 39, of Bound Brook, was stopped on East Main Street for a motor vehicle violation. Gomero was subsequently arrested for DWI and issued the following summonses: driving while intoxicated, careless driving, reckless driving, and improper left turn. Gomero was released with a pending court appearance.
On Oct. 27 at around 3:13 p.m.: John Yankowski, 57, of Bridgewater, was arrested for DWI on Somerset Avenue following a crash investigation that originated in Somerville. Yankowski was issued the following summonses: driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to breath testing, and refusal to submit to chemical testing. Yankowski was released with a pending court appearance.
