Bridgewater Bans Business With Russian-Affiliated Companies, Supports Ukrain
The Bridgewater Municipal Complex has been lit Blue and Yellow in solidarity with the people of Ukraine since the start of the conflict.
BRIDGEWATER, NJ — The Bridgewater Township Council unanimously passed a resolution banning all business with Russian companies, condemning Russians actions, and standing with the people of Ukraine.
"The people of Ukraine have relentlessly defended their home country against a far larger military opponent," said Councilman Filipe Pedroso in a release. "This resolution and show of support are the least we can do to show our solidarity with the Ukrainian people. I hope that this gesture, in some small way, will serve to bolster the efforts we have seen all around the world to hold Russia accountable for its unjustified invasion."
Additionally, since the start of the conflict, the Bridgewater Municipal Complex has been lit Blue and Yellow in solidarity with the people of Ukraine.

"The strength and resolve of the Ukrainian people during this unprovoked and horrific invasion has been inspiring," Council Vice President Michael Kirsh said. "I am proud to add Bridgewater's voice to the overwhelming chorus of support for Ukraine, its people, and for peace."
The resolution passed by Bridgewater Township mirrors recently signed legislation led by Assembly Minority Leader John DiMaio, who represents Bridgewater and the 23rd legislative district. The legislation levies prohibitions on financial investment activity in the Russian Federation, further impeding their hopes of sustaining their invasion.
