Bridgewater Man Dies In Crash With Guardrail: Police
The crash on Thursday morning is still under investigation by the Bridgewater Township Police and the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office.
BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A Bridgewater man died following a crash into a guardrail in the Township on Thursday.
On April 17 at 10:17 am, the Bridgewater Township Police Department responded to the report of a single motor vehicle crash into a guardrail, with the front seat driver unresponsive.
William Sullivan, 53, of Bridgewater, was driving a 2018 Subaru CrossTrek, on Woodlawn Avenue, when he hit the curb and ran off the south side of the roadway, said Bridgewater Police Officer Stephen Black.

"Sullivan's vehicle traveled about 80 feet west on the concrete sidewalk, striking and driving on top of a galvanized traffic guardrail, where the vehicle came to rest," said Black.
Bridgewater Township Police Officers and EMTs began CPR on Sullivan. He was then taken to Robert Wood Johnson Somerset by the Somerville Rescue Squad.

Sullivan was pronounced dead upon arrival at Robert Wood Johnson Somerset.
This crash is still under investigation by the Bridgewater Township Police Department’s Traffic Safety Bureau and the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office.
