Bridgewater Teachers, BOE Agree To 1-Year Contract

The 1-year contract would be retroactive to July 1, 2018 when Bridgewater-Raritan teachers began working without a contract.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — The Bridgewater-Raritan Education Association and the Bridgewater-Raritan Board of Education have signed a 1-year contract.

Jill Gladstone, president of the BRBOE, confirmed the agreement, which will be retroactive to July 1, 2018 when the former contract had ended due to an impasse over the issues of health care and salary.

The new 1-year contract will be in effect through July 1, 2019 to allow both sides time to work on a new 3-year contract agreement.
