Driver ID'd In Fatal Route 22 Crash In Somerset County, Police Investigating Cause

Police are still investigating the cause of the accident and asking the public for help.

GREEN BROOK, NJ — The driver in a fatal crash on Route 22 in Green Brook on Wednesday morning has been identified.

Police identified the driver of a 2000 Honda CRV as Justin Sepulveda, 31, from Plainfield, said Green Brook Police Chief Samuel J. Caramela.

The crash was reported on Wednesday, Dec. 8, at 5:53 a.m. when Green Brook Police police went to the area of 101 Route 22 outside of the Buick GMC dealership. Read More: Driver Dies In Route 22 Crash In Green Brook

Sepulveda left the roadway in his CRV and hit a utility pole, according to an investigation by officers from the Green Brook Police Department Detective Bureau and Accident Investigation Unit.

Sepulveda was pronounced dead at the scene, said Caramela.
