• Board Member Under Fire For 'Attacking Educators' In Bridgewater-Raritan (patch.com) — Bridgewater-Raritan families are watching a growing clash on the school board, as the local teachers union publicly called for member Jeremy Li's resignation over what it describes as attacks on educators and unsafe rhetoric. At a marathon board meeting, union president Frank Ur praised staff for a smooth full-day kindergarten rollout but warned that long, contentious meetings and threats tied to social media posts are discouraging community participation.
   

• Manville Police Promotions and Awards (manville.today) — Bridgewater residents may be interested to know their local police were praised alongside neighboring departments for professionalism during a dangerous Manville pursuit that uncovered an illegal firearm and body armor. The Manville council meeting also welcomed a new officer, honored several for heroic and lifesaving actions, and recognized a civilian who helped rescue a woman from the Raritan River near Dukes Park.
