Princeton Man Dies As Scooter, Dump Truck Crash On Route 202/206 In Bridgewater
Richard Peterson of Princeton died when his scooter and a dump truck crashed on Route 202/206 north at the intersection of Brown Road.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A Princeton man died when his scooter and a dump truck crashed on Route 202/206 in Bridgewater on Friday afternoon.
The crash was reported just before 4 p.m. on the northbound side at the intersection of Brown Road, said Bridgewater Traffic Safety Officer Joseph Greco.
Richard Peterson from Princeton was driving a 2009 SYM HD-200 Scooter and a 1996 Freightliner FL70 was driven by Eric Adam Dubecky of Warren, said Greco.

Members of the Green Knoll Volunteer Fire Company, Green Knoll Volunteer Rescue Squad, Martinsville Volunteer Rescue Squad, and Robert Wood Johnson Hospital Paramedics also went to the scene to help.
Peterson was pronounced dead at the scene by Robert Wood Johnson Hospital Paramedics.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation and no charges have been filed at this time.
