Quick Chek Hearing Continues Tonight
Bridgewater Township's Zoning Board meeting will host the fifth public hearing on the proposed Quick Chek project to be built on Rt. 22 East

Bridgewater, NJ -- Round 5.
The fifth public hearing on the proposed Quick Chek project will be heard at the Bridgewater Township’s Zoning Board meeting tonight, Feb. 2 at 7:30 p.m.
The meeting will be held at the Somerset County Vocational & Technical Schools auditorium.

The project, which calls for a 24-hour, 5,700-square-foot convenience market on Route 22 East at the site of the vacant 5.47-acre Tectonic property. There will also be 16 gas pumps and two deisel pumps.
The last meeting on the project, held on Dec. 15 had testimony from a real estate appraiser and a licensed planner Christine Nazzaro Cofone.

Since time ran out at the last meeting after Cofone’s testimony, this meeting will begin by having her field questions from board members and the public.
After Cofone, Zoning Board Planner Scarlett Doyle will also have a chance to give her opinion of the project. And possibly the public will then have their chance to voice their opinion of the project as well.
“That’s being optimistic and having a hopeful view,” Sweeney said, as the past four meetings have lasted the full three hours.
