Secret Service Charged $21K To Stay At Trump's NJ Club: Report

President Donald Trump's luxury resorts charged the US government more than $1.1 million in total since he took office, a report says.

BEDMINSTER, NJ — President Donald Trump's luxury resorts, including his golf club in Bedminster, have charged the U.S. government more than $1.1 million in private transactions since he took office, according to a Washington Post report.

The transactions, which were revealed after he Washington Post filed a public-records lawsuit, included more than $21,800 in Secret Service charges to rent rooms while at Trump's golf club in Bedminster even though the club was closed for the coronavirus pandemic, according to the report.

Trump did not visit the club while it was closed but did visit several times in June, July and August.

He drew criticism over the summer when he held a press conference on Aug. 8 at his Bedminster golf club where an audience, many of them without masks were present.

Since his inauguration, Trump has spent 99 days at his golf club in Bedminster, which is more than at any of his other properties except Mar-a-Lago, where he has spent 133 days, according to nbcnews.com.

In past, Trump has been spent his summer vacations at the Bedminster club with 10 days in 2019, 11 days in 2018 and 18 days in 2017.
