2 Trapped Drivers Hospitalized Following Crash In Bridgewater
The crash was reported around 7 a.m. in the Finderne section of the Township.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A serious motor vehicle crash with a double extrication is being reported on Wednesday morning in Bridgewater.
On July 3 just before 7 a.m. a crash was reported on Finderne Avenue near the intersection of 4th Street, said police.
The vehicles involved in the crash were a 2017 Mazda 3, operated by Edward Carbonaro of Bridgewater, and a 2012 Honda Pilot, operated by Marta Castillo De Rivera of Plainfield, said Bridgewater Police Traffic Safety Sergeant Dan Hennessey.

Members of the Finderne Volunteer Fire Department and Robert Wood Johnson Hospital’s Paramedics also responded to the scene to render aid.
"Crews extricated two victims from two separate vehicles and turned them over to the care of EMS," according to Finderne Fire Department.

All parties involved in the crash were taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick to be treated for their subsequent injuries.
North Main Street in Manville was also closed northbound into Bridgewater temporarily for the police investigation, said Manville Police.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation by the Bridgewater Township Police Department Traffic Safety Bureau and no charges have been filed at this time.

The Finderne Fire Department, which covers the southeast section of Bridgewater Township, is always looking for volunteers.
