At about 7:36 p.m. police got a call about shots fired and a gunshot wound victim at the Farm Lane home in Bound Brook.

Bound Brook Police officers found a man outside the home, who has since been identified as Coulanges, suffering from gunshot wounds, Robertson said.

Coulanges was sent to an area trauma center, where he later died of his injuries, Robertson said.

A preliminary finding by the Medical Examiner's Office listed Coulanges' cause of death as gunshot wounds and the manner of death as homicide.

Interviews with numerous neighbors found that they heard what they believed to be gunshots during the time frame of about 5:30 to 6 p.m. which contradicted what the Keogh family told officers.

An investigation found that Keogh, along with his parents, left the home on Farm Lane after Coulanges was shot and before Cindy Keogh placed the 911 call at 7:36 p.m., Robertson said.

A preliminary finding by the Medical Examiner’s Office listed Coulanges’ cause of death as gunshot wounds and the manner of death as homicide.

The motive for the homicide has not been confirmed and the investigation remains ongoing.
