There's Always Something Fun at Senior Center

Monthly birthday lunch is highlight of day at senior center

Bridgewater Patch is too old to hang out at bars (unless it’s a salad bar) and not old enough to be treated with the respect and discounts due to people entering their golden years.

That’s why Bridgewater Patch can’t wait until he’s old enough to go to the Bridgewater Senior Citizens Center to have fun.

The senior center, at 455 Somerville Road, offers fun programs five days a week. Today’s activities start at 9 a.m. with bridge, then continue with knitting and billiards and shuffleboard at 10 a.m. followed by the monthly Birthday Lunch at noon.

Bridgewater  offers its senior citizens a free transportation program to all activities at the senior center, as well as to grocery shopping and doctor appointments.

For more information on senior citizen activities, to register for a program, or to arrange a ride, call senior citizen coordinator, Donna Langel, at (908) 575-8021 or email Donna at seniors@bridgewaternj.gov.
