Wanted Man In Bridgewater Attempted Burglary Turns Out To Be Contractor
Police were searching for a man caught on camera trying to open a door to a township home. It turned out to be a misunderstanding.
BRIDGEWATER, NJ — The man wanted in connection with what was reported as an attempted burglary in Bridgewater has been found.
"The subject from Bluestone Lane has been identified. He was a contractor hired by another resident on Bluestone and went to the wrong house. There was no criminal activity," said Bridgewater Police Lt. Kevin Lamey.

Just before 8 a.m. on Monday, a man was caught on a surveillance camera at a home on Bluestone Lane off Route 202/206 trying to open a basement door, Lamey said previously.
The man reportedly put on gloves before he pulled on a basement door and then walked back down the driveway out of the camera's view.
