City officials are seeking emergency funding, planning seawall extensions, and racing to restore beach access while residents in Brigantine and West Wildwood begin a difficult cleanup. 
• Gov. Sherrill tours Jersey Shore nor'easter damage as beach towns push for federal aid (crossroadstoday.com) — Brigantine is facing severe beach erosion and promenade damage after last weekend's nor'easter, prompting Gov. Mikie Sherrill and local leaders to seek emergency federal help and accelerated beach protection projects. Officials are pushing for an early replenishment, seawall extension, and FEMA support to safeguard homes before more storms roll in this season.
