Car Collision In West Caldwell, Deer Euthanized: Report

A vehicle-deer collision on Clinton Road in West Caldwell caused damage to the car, but no injury to the driver, police say.

WEST CALDWELL, NJ — A vehicle-deer collision on Clinton Road in West Caldwell on Monday caused damage to the car, but no injury to the driver, according to police.

The crash took place around 2 a.m. on the 100-block of Clinton Road. The deer’s injuries were severe, necessitating an on-site euthanasia from a police officer’s service weapon, TAP Into West Essex reported.
