Celebration Hanukkah in the Caldwells

Caldwells, NJ — Chabad of the Caldwells will light a public Hanukkah menorah at Firemen’s Hall, North Caldwell, on December 19th, 2022, the second night of the eight-day Festival of Lights. The community will be joined by North Caldwell Mayor Alessi and Mayor-elect Josh Raymond who will be attending and lighting the Menorah. The event will feature a ventriloquist performance and family activities. Traditional sufganiyot (donuts) and potato Latkes will be served. Complimentary Hanukkah menorahs and candles will be distributed as well for participants to light at home. The highlight of the event is sure the be the "Gelt Drop", when colorful parachutes will come flying down, each one with chocolate coins attached.

“Everyone is especially excited about Hanukkah this year,” said Rabbi Shmuly, Rabbi of Chabad of the Caldwells. “People are preparing to celebrate with family and friends, to fill their homes with the light of Hanukkah, and there’s a palpable joy. The public Hanukkah celebration is about sharing this light and joy with the broader community and the entirety of the Caldwells.”
