Déjà Vu In North Caldwell: 2 Water Main Breaks Reported Friday

Like other towns in the area, the borough has been experiencing water main breaks this winter. The latest two happened Friday.

NORTH CALDWELL, NJ — Déjà vu hit North Caldwell on Friday when another pair of water main breaks took place.

Like other towns in the area, the borough has been experiencing water main breaks this winter. The latest two happened Friday.

The borough water department issued the following advisory at 11:07 a.m.:

“The North Caldwell Water Department will be performing repairs at two water main breaks in the vicinity of 310 Mountain Avenue and 5 Spruce Road. Mountain Avenue will be closed between Smull Avenue and Hickory Drive. Detours will be in place with local access permitted only. Spruce Road will be open to local traffic only. Water service disruption is likely throughout the afternoon and into the evening. Please expect discoloration once water service is restored; run faucets until water runs clear. Thank you in advance for your patience as repairs are made.”
