Mount St. Dominic Academy's award-winning Performing Arts Program is thrilled to announce that tickets are now on sale for its spring musical, Freaky Friday! Hailed as “delightfully spunky” with “timeless appeal” (Variety), Freaky Friday features a new book by Bridget Carpenter (Parenthood) and an original pop/rock score by Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize winners Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey (Next to Normal). This dynamic story puts a fresh new spin on a “polished, peppy, modern fairy tale” (The Washington Post).

This high-energy production follows an overworked mom and her teenage daughter who magically swap bodies—just one day before mom’s wedding! Based on the celebrated novel by Mary Rodgers and the hit Disney films, Freaky Friday is a hilarious, contemporary update on an American classic. Mother and daughter must navigate each other’s lives and truly understand what it means to be family—all in just 24 hours!

With stunning sets and a stellar cast, Freaky Friday at The Mount is a must-see family show! Performances will be held at 7:30 pm on Thursday, February 27; Friday, February 28; and Saturday, March 1; with a matinee on Sunday, March 2, at 2 pm. All shows take place in the Doris M. Byrne Performing Arts Center at Mount St. Dominic Academy, located at 3 Ryerson Ave., Caldwell, NJ.

About Mount St. Dominic Academy’s Award-Winning Performing Arts Program—MSDA students perform in the school’s state-of-the-art Doris M. Byrne Performing Arts Center, where the award-winning Performing Arts Program is led by a team of professionals providing expertise and mentorship in technical, practical, and theoretical aspects of acting, as well as in scenic lighting, sound, and costume design.
