Mandelbaum Barrett Holds ‘Pack for Purpose’ Event

Nearly 80 employees from all of law firm Mandelbaum Barrett PC’s New York and New Jersey offices prepared and packed 1,000 weekend food bags for Newark schoolchildren as part of the firm’s efforts to battle food insecurity. The firm partnered with “Blessing in a Backpack” to hold its “Pack for Purpose” event at the firm’s Roseland headquarters. According to Blessings in a Backpack, 13 million children are experiencing food insecurity, which is equivalent to one in six American children who may be struggling with access to food. Mandelbaum Barrett Chief Culture Officer Lauren Lynch said, “We are thrilled to have partnered with Blessings in a Backpack for this incredible event that brought together our team for a great cause!"

During August and September, Mandelbaum Barrett’s charitable foundation donated over $3,500 and received another $4,000 from online donations from employees, clients and friends of the firm to purchase the food. On September 14, 2022, employees gathered in shifts to prepare the food bags for children who don’t receive the free school lunch on the weekend.
