The Mount's Performing Arts Program Receives Many Foxy Nominations!

The Mount St. Dominic Academy Performing Arts Program is thrilled to announce that it has received several Foxy Award Nominations from the 2024 Montclair State University (MSU) Theatre Night Awards! The winners will be announced on Monday, May 20 at 7:15 pm, at MSU's Memorial Auditorium.

The Theatre Night Awards in New Jersey recognize excellence in the production of high school and middle school straight plays, and musicals, aiming to elevate the standard of production in secondary schools. They honor outstanding achievements in performance, direction, design, and technical theatre, as well as exceptional productions, and have positively impacted educators' choices in play selection and staging techniques.

“I am so proud of the hard work and raw talent that these students exhibit on a regular basis. I’m also thankful that Montclair State University invests the time and energy they do to honor educational theatre in New Jersey,” says Director of Performing Arts at the Mount Michelle Posner.

About Mount St. Dominic Academy’s Award-Winning Performing Arts Program – Mount St. Dominic Academy’s students perform in the school’s state-of-the-art Doris M. Byrne Performing Arts Center, where the award-winning Performing Arts Program is led by a team of professionals providing expertise and mentorship in technical, practical, and theoretical aspects of acting, as well as in scenic, lighting, sound and costume design. Each year, Mount students have opportunities to shine in fall dramas and spring musicals, and work backstage running crews.
