The West Essex High School Chapter of the National Art Honor Society inducted 34 new members at a ceremony in the High School Auditorium on May 28.
The following students were inducted: Sheri Astorino, Deirdre Brady, Katie Caprio, Tori Carsillo, Sara Castro, Rachel Cecere, Jake Cole, Andie Davis, Catherine DiGangi, Dinore Gashi, Sonali Goil, Stephen Hunter, Chloe Lorenzen, Sadie Lowenthal, Jessica Kenny, Dina Kolesar, Stephanie Lombardo, Emma Lupo, Amanda Margiolas, Emily Miller, Kerry Mundy, Isabel Parzecki, Courtney Pappas, Elia Pollio, Erin Rondi, Jake Russin, Evan Snerson, Lauren Theobald, Jacqueline Thomas, Amber Tomlin, Justin Trigg, Angelica Turano, Hannah Viczai and Micaela Weiss.
According to a release, students are eligible for the National Art Honor Society by teacher nomination only. Once they are nominated by their art teacher, they may enter the application process. The NAHS requires a minimum art scholarship average of an A minus, as well as a 3.0 cumulative average in all other subjects. Members must also complete 12 service hours per school year of NAHS sponsored community service projects.

The winner of the 2015 NAHS Scholarship Award is senior Lily Sadeghi-Nejad.
The society advisors are WEHS Art teachers Pam Rizzi and Amanda Procaccino.
