2018 Recipient of the Agnes Lunetta Faith Scholarship

Faith Based Journal Essay Winner

The winner of the annual Agnes Lunetta Faith Scholarship was announced Friday, January 19th at a Mass held at St. Patrick Church in Chatham. Based on his winning, faith-based journey essay, Anthony Bibbo, a seventh-grade student at St. Patrick School, will receive a $1,000 scholarship towards his eighth grade education. The St. Patrick School community is very proud of of Anthony’s achievement.

The Lunetta Memorial Faith Scholarship was created in memory of Agnes Lunetta, a St. Patrick parishioner for more than 60 years and strong supporter of academics and Catholic education. Each year seventh-grade students are invited to write an essay on their personal faith journey at St. Patrick School, with the winner selected by Mrs. Lunetta’s family.

Saint Patrick School, accredited by AdvancED, is a co-educational, parochial elementary school for students in preschool through eighth grade. The school has been nationally recognized as a United States Department of Education Blue Ribbon School, and a Diocese of Paterson Star School. Saint Patrick School is also a STEM school that promotes student critical thinking and application throughout the curriculum in all grades.
