Boys Soccer Playoff Run Comes to an End

Cougars fall to Scotch Plains in sectional championship game.

The boys soccer team lost 2-0 to Scotch Plains Friday in the North Jersey Section 2, Group 2 sectional championship game.

IN SHORT
The Cougars played tough and held pace with Scotch Plains for most of the first half. However, the Raiders finally struck with a goal 25 minutes into the game. Chatham was never able to respond and Scotch Plains padded its lead by scoring another goal less than 10 minutes after the start of the second half.

Brian Petrunik—
Although he allowed two goals, Petrunik also had three saves.  While his teammates had trouble getting the ball to the Scotch Plains' goal, Petrunik was constantly on guard.
