Chatham Council Election

Choose Experience over Promises

To the Editor

The nastiness of the local elections remind me of the downright slime on the national scene. In this climate, I do not know how any decent person decides to volunteer their time to serve their community. But maybe that’s the goal of the mud-slingers.
Here in Chatham, Peter Hoffman and Len Resto have served for years, thoughtfully tackling the challenges of our small town, and keeping a fiscally responsible approach. They listen to the people in and out of the town meetings, and strive to keep Chatham’s character and history, while working on developing plans to maintain our town’s vitality.
Instead of voting for someone with no experience who promises to make things happen, can we all stay with the people who have proven they can make local government work? Let’s vote to return Hoffman and Resto to Chatham government before they change their minds!
