Chatham Farm Could Become Duplexes
A rezoning application heads to the Town Committee.

CHATHAM, NJ — A Chatham farm could soon become duplexes, TapInto reported.
The Chatham Township planning board heard a presentation by the developer Sterling Properties during Monday night's meeting to discuss rezoning the Dixiedale Farm land for residential buildings.
According to the report, the Board voted unanimously to allow the rezoning. The Committee would have to approve the proposal; they next meet on Oct. 26, but its unclear when they would hear the proposal.

The current owner of the property told TapInto she inhered the farm in 2012, and chose to sell to Sterling Properties because they would keep the buildings within the character of the town. Each duplex would go for around $1.3 million.
Dixiedale Farm is a chop-your-own Christmas tree farm that has been in operation since 1911.
