Chatham Girls Swimming Defeats Summit in Sectional Semifinals

CHS Girls Advance to Sectional Finals

On February 11th, Chatham Girls Swimming defeated Summit in the Sectional Semifinals to move onto the finals against Scotch Plains Fanwood in the NJ State Tournament.

Sara Barrett placed first in the 200 Free; Hailey Harkins finished first in the 200 IM; Olivia Polemeni won the 50 and the 100 Free races; Erica Iizuka placed first in the 100 Fly; Sara Barrett touched first in the 500 Free; Hailey Harkins finished first in the 100 Back; and Erica Iizuka won the 100 Breast.

The Chatham Girls swept the relay events. Monica Iizuka, Erica Iizuka, Hailey Harkins, and Anya D’Costa placed first in the 200 Medley Relay; the winning combination of Anya D’Costa, Monica Iizuka, Isabella Hoie, and Olivia Polemeni touched first in the 200 Free Relay; and Isabella Hoie, Sara Barrett, Hailey Harkins, and Olivia Polemeni won the 400 Free Relay.
