Chatham "Handout" Signs Explained
Mark Lois Holds Town Hall - Opponent Craig Alperowitz Refuses 21 Offers To Debate
High density housing in the Chathams has been developed with handouts for developers. These handouts are legal tax loopholes originally designed for blighted communities. The use of these handouts allows developers to build high density housing without paying property tax which support our schools.
Committeeman Mark Lois, seeking re-election this year, will answer resident questions on this important topic. Development through PILOTS and high density housing impact every resident and our school system. Mark Lois' opponent, Craig Alperowitz has declined 21 opportunities to
debate since June but is very welcome to ask questions along with all other residents.
This town hall will be held on Wednesday evening, October 23rd with a meet and greet beginning at 7PM and the formal program at 7:30 PM. Come to listen or with your question! See you Wednesday evening at The Library of the Chathams Woman’s Club Room.
