Student-Athletes from around the state can officially sign a national letter of intent starting Wednesday in the fall signing period. National Letters of Intent are signed by prospective student-athletes who will be entering a four-year institution. The NLI is a binding agreement between a prospective student-athlete and an NLI member institution. Chatham High School is proud to recognize two students who participated in the National Letter of Intent early signing period:
Maggie O’Neill, right, is a senior captain for the Chatham High School girls lacrosse team. Maggie has been a midfielder on the varsity team since her freshmen year. She has 62 goals and 21 assists for her career, getting 39 of the goals and 12 assists her junior year alone. After she graduates from Chatham, Maggie will be continuing her career at Villanova University.
Patrick Caufield, left, will be looked upon to lead the defensive unit for Chatham this year. After stepping into a starting roll late in his Sophomore year he has blossomed into a Division 1 defenseman signing with Manhattan College. Patrick always leads by example and was voted as a Captain for this coming season.
