Many Chatham residents have complained about mail delivery this fall, with many saying that mail arrives late or is not even delivered at all. The U.S. Postal Service said the problems may be because there have been some retirements at the Chatham post office.

"There have been a number of complaints about mail delivery since early November. I have had problems myself with late deliveries and lost mail, and deliveries to the Borough have had problems. I contacted Congressman Frelinghuysen, and his office has been trying to deal with the issues. Steve (Williams, borough administrator) spoke to the postmaster and was told they are having staffing issues due to retirements. Hopefully in our meeting, we'll find out what their plans are to rectify the situation," Mayor Harris told TAP Into.
