Chatham Students Finalists In International Competition

The team is one of six finalists in the 3rd Annual Global Ideas for Action Youth Competition.

CHATHAM, NJ — Six Chatham high schoolers have been named finalists in the 3rd Annual Global Ideas for Action Youth Competition. Hundreds of teams from 22 different countries competed for the distinction.

Current students Indira Roy, Stephen Ratner, and Emily Lamb, and 2017 CHS graduates Nishita Sinha, Meghan Maguire, and Zoe Heard are part of the team. Their proposal "Strengthening Domestic Industry and Regulating the International Clothes Donation Process to Promote Global Economy and Culture," demonstrated how you can implement the UN's Sustainable Development Goals.

The Ideas for Action Organization aims to “provide students and young professionals from around the world with a unique opportunity to help shape the international development agenda and to take an active role in changing the world.” It is “a joint program of the World Bank Group and the Zicklin Center for Business Ethics Research at the Wharton School.”
