Chatham White 12U's Summer Travel baseball team hit the road Monday but the results were similar to Friday night's home opener. Buoyed by 16 base hits and errorless defense, the visitors from Chatham pounded out a 15-2 victory over the Morristown American travel team at Morristown's Ginty field. Matthew Patterson, Thomas Wolf, Anthony Gonzalez, Liam Holland and Sam Alterman all had multi-hit games for the visitors. Pressed into action unexpectedly after an injury to the starting pitcher, Wolf threw 3 scoreless innings of one hit ball. Michael Vintzel struck out the side in the 5th inning and finished the game. Ben Prill's strong glovework at second base shut the door on the home team. Chatham White returns to action Wednesday at Westfield's Gumpert field.
