Juniper Village Chatham Named 2019 Top-Rated Senior Care Provider

Juniper Village at Chatham has received the SeniorAdvisor.com Best of 2019 Award recognizing outstanding assisted living communities that have received consistently high ratings from the residents and families. The award places Juniper Village in the top 2-3% of senior care providers across the United States and Canada.

Assisted living communities offer a long-term living arrangement designed for seniors who need some help with the activities of daily living, but who want to preserve as much independence as possible.

Juniper Village at Chatham consists of 95 units and is believed to be the first independent and assisted living community built under LEED standards. The acronym stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, a program overseen by the U.S. Green Building Council. The facility was constructed in 2001 with the mission of providing the safest, most healthy environment for the residents, staff and community. To this end, an underground drainage system feeds a pond at the residence, while only low VOC carpets and paints are used inside; and, the cleaning crews only use eco-friendly products. The community is also proud to say it has its own natural gas-powered van and maintains its own filling station
