Chatham Teens Named AP Scholars For High Marks on Advanced Exams
Kent Place seniors from Chatham awarded AP Scholar distinctions
Kent Place School seniors (pictured l-r) Sarah Barry, Sophie Dewar, Laura Whelan and Claire Eckles have been honored by the College Board in recognition of their exceptional achievement on Advanced Placement (AP) Examinations taken last spring.
Whelan was named AP Scholars with Distinction. The award of AP Scholar with Distinction is granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams.

Barry, Dewar and Eckles were named AP Scholars. The award of AP Scholar is granted to students who receive scores of 3 or higher (on a scale of 1 to 5) on three or more AP Exams.
In 2015, Kent Place had a total of 93 students recognized by the College Board for excellence on AP exams. Kent Place School is an independent, nonsectarian, college-preparatory day school, which for over 100 years has provided a superior education for young women who demonstrate strong scholastic and creative ability.
