Madison Area Y’s 17th Bocce Invitational Champions: Aristocrats
Tournament raised more than $32,000 for Y's Paths to Wellness programs

Congratulations to the Madison Area YMCA’s 17th Annual Charity Bocce Invitational Tournament champions, The Aristocrats.
Hosted by the Forum Club and the Toto family, the Bocce Invitational raised more than $32,000 for health and wellness programs such as LIVESTRONG at the YMCA for cancer survivors, the Diabetes Prevention Program, the Community Mental Health Initiative, Enhance Fitness, One Step, Delay the Disease, Healthy Hearts and the Project Community Pride of the Madison Area YMCA, a youth and family counseling service.
The winning team, The Aristocrats, included: Tony Cianci of Florham Park; Victor Bocchino (Captain of The Aristocrats) of Madison; Saverio “Sal” Allocca of Madison and Rocco Nigro of Madison.

The Mounties took second place. Team members included: Steve DiGeronimo of Glen Ridge; Greg D'Alessandro of Verona; Emilio "JR" D'Alessandro of Glen Ridge; Gary Mercadante (Captain of The Mounties) of Florham Park and alternate player Ralph Amadeo from Verona.
Guest speakers Tony Ottino, a cancer survivor and LIVESTRONG at the YMCA program graduate, and Jim Patterson, whose late wife, Beth, was a LIVESTRONG at the YMCA program graduate, graciously shared their stories during the celebration banquet on Wed., Oct. 16.

Investors Bank was the presenting sponsor for the sixth year. Tournament sponsors were Rocco’s Tuscany Bar and Grill and Villa Rose Wine School, who both provided a wonderful celebration for participants and spectators. Additional sponsors that helped ensure the success of the Bocce Invitational were Atlantic Health System and Dr. John Dalena of Summit Medical Group.
