Matinee Club Back With More Midday Movies In Chatham
The club gives stay-at-home parents a chance to catch new movies while their children are in school.

CHATHAM, NJ — The Matinee Club is back for another season in Chatham, letting stay-at-home parents catch new movies while their children are at school.
The monthly movie service offers parents the chance to see one movie a month in theaters during the eight months schools are in season. It's run by two Summit moms, who were looking for a way to check out movies with friends during the school year while avoiding the costs of a babysitter. The club began in 2006, and now has 1,000 members.
Movie this season include "Battle of the Sexes," "Stronger," "The Mountain Between Us," with more to be announced. The club has previously shown "Hacksaw Ridge," "Moonlight," "La La Land," "Deadpool," and other adults-only films.

Moviegoers can pick between two new releases each month, for a cost of $85 a season. (Not sure if its for you? You can try out one film for $10.)
The club shows movies in Chatham on Wednesday and Thursday, Milburn on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Montclair on Wednesdays, and Ridgewood on Tuesdays.
