Mayor Endorses Craig Alperowitz for Chatham Township Committee

I enthusiastically endorse Craig Alperowitz for Chatham Township Committee. Craig’s communication and marketing expertise and his remarkable commitment to community make him the best candidate for Chatham Township Committee.

Craig’s communications and marketing skills will be a tremendous asset to the Committee as we continue to improve community outreach efforts and enhance our messaging to maximize resident engagement with our local government. Craig’s first responder experience will be a tremendous help in public safety and emergency management initiatives as his firsthand field experience will help inform his role on the Committee.

Craig has been an active and well-regarded member of the Chatham Emergency Squad for 7 years. This volunteer role requires hundreds of hours of training and many selfless hours of service. As a mayor and someone who’s campaigned, I’ve been especially impressed by Craig’s tempered approach in communicating his EMS experience during the campaign season. You’ll find other EMS volunteers singing his praises, but you won’t see Craig bragging about the many roles he’s played on the squad, or posting pictures in his uniform or with other squad members. That speaks volumes about his respect for the role and his commitment to community. To me, that is what makes him most qualified to be on the Township Committee – that he puts community first.

As Chatham Township Mayor, I am excited about the opportunity to work with Craig. I know he will bring the same dedication and enthusiasm to the Committee as he’s done for the Squad. I want to thank Craig for his many years of service to our community and for stepping up to serve on the Committee. We’re so fortunate to have him on our team.
