Nearly 75% of Chatham Township Homes Reached on Campaign Trail

I’m running for Chatham Township Committee for the same reason I joined the Chatham Emergency Squad 7 years ago and remain highly active today - because I believe I can make an impact and make a difference.

I’ve embraced every possible opportunity to have the people of Chatham Township get to know me better. I have sent out 2 mailers, built and updated a public-facing website, participated in an interview with the Chatham Courier, have public social media accounts and received numerous published endorsements about my character from Republicans and Democrats alike. I am also thankful to the Chatham Courier who has endorsed me.

Meeting residents is really the key to getting to know their concerns and I’ve embraced this challenge head-on. I have been knocking on doors for months; visiting more than 3,000, which represents nearly 75% of Chatham Township homes.

In my conversations with residents, these observations stand out the most:

• Residents want open lines of communications

• Volunteerism is what makes Chatham a warm community
• Voters understand using municipal assets wisely requires planning
• Low taxes and good services are universally appealing

I am confident that these are areas where I can support voters’ interests and give voice to their concerns.

Above all, I hope you’ve seen for yourself that my campaign has been positive, inclusive and transparent. That has not been easy when my opponent has made claims that I “support demolishing the police station.” What?!

As a proud first responder who works hand-in-hand with our amazing officers and detectives of Chatham Township Police Department - I can absolutely assure you that I support my fellow first responders who keep Chatham Township safe.

With Election Day in sight, and so many residents having already voted, I’d like to thank everyone for opening their doors and engaging in meaningful conversations. I have tried to show residents the differences between myself and my opponent in respectful and constructive ways. I hope I have earned your vote so I can work even harder for the people of Chatham Township.
