• No. 8 Chatham field hockey downs Montville to stay in first place (nj.com subscription) — Chatham High's field hockey team, ranked No. 8 statewide, stayed atop the NJAC-American division with a 4-2 road win over Montville, powered by goals from four different Cougars. Marissa Symon and Molly Chazen each had a goal and assist, while goalie Georgia Lee's nine saves helped Chatham improve to 8-1 overall and 6-0 in the division.
   

• Morris County honors 13 service members lost in connection with post-9/11 wars (wrnjradio.com) — Morris County recently honored service members lost in post-9/11 conflicts, including Vincent M. Sullivan of Chatham Township, during a three-day "Remembering Our Fallen" memorial at County College of Morris. The event highlighted 13 county residents killed in connection with those wars, honored Gold Star families, and announced plans for a new New Jersey memorial that will also recognize veterans lost to suicide.
