On Thursday, March 1st the St. Patrick school community reveled in the energy and excitement that permeated closing of this six-week long celebration, which enabled all to learn about the culture and sports of many nations.
Highlights from the closing ceremonies include demonstration of new sports created and designed by St. Patrick Middle School students as part of their S.T.E.M challenge in physical education class. Students from all grades presented cultural dances, while grades 4 & 5 shared their study of Olympic history and their work graphing counties achievements in this past Winter Olympics. The third grade, which had studied Japan, delighted the community with a preview of the upcoming 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympic games.
Saint Patrick School, accredited by AdvancED, is a co-educational, parochial elementary school for students in preschool through eighth grade. The school has been nationally recognized as a United States Department of Education Blue Ribbon School, and a Diocese of Paterson Star School. Saint Patrick School is also a STEM school that promotes student critical thinking and application throughout the curriculum in all grades.
