St. Patrick School Seeks National STEM Certification

National STEM Certification

St. Patrick School is seeking national STEM certification from AdvancED. On Tuesday, April 17th the school welcomed Dr. Pamela Bernards, Director of Professional Development for the National Catholic Education Association (NCEA), who met with students, faculty and administrators to learn about St. Patrick’s commitment to STEM. Dr. Bernards observed the exciting STEM activities taking place at St. Patrick School, including the Genius Hour program, which allows students to explore their own passions and encourages creativity in the classroom through scientific research and design.

Saint Patrick School, accredited by AdvancED, is a co-educational, parochial elementary school for students in preschool through eighth grade. The school has been nationally recognized as a United States Department of Education Blue Ribbon School, and a Diocese of Paterson Star School. Saint Patrick School is also a STEM school that promotes student critical thinking and application throughout the curriculum in all grades.
