Vladimir Putin In Chatham? Republican Yard Signs Defaced

Sign theft, sign vandalism and the hiding or moving of signs are unfortunately to be expected as a political candidate. That doesn't make it right or acceptable and I join other candidates in the Chathams speaking out against any interference with any campaign. Fundamentally disrupting messaging is an attempt to stifle free speech. Free speech, censorship and expression the cornerstone of our Republic. Freedom of speech is listed in the first amendment, at the top of the Bill of Rights for good reason.

Vladimir Putin is now featured in a sticker campaign across the Chathams. It is designed to interrupt Republican messaging in the Chathams. There are 12 elected positions in the Chathams. Currently 11 positions are held by Democrats with Mark Lois remaining the only elected Republican.

Clearly a group of sign vandals now think that somehow Vladamir Putin and a caricature of our past president should weigh-in for the Chathams. Apparently 12 Democrats and not a single Republican somehow balances out with this sticker.

I respectfully encourage participation in this election without interfering with signs.
