4 Charged, Gun Seized After Disturbance At Gloucester Twp. Apartment: Police

The individuals were banging on and attempting to kick in a front door at the apartment complex, authorities said.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Four people were charged and a stolen handgun was recovered following a disturbance early Wednesday morning at a Gloucester Township apartment complex, police said.

Just before 2:15 a.m., township police were dispatched for a report of several people banging on and attempting to kick in a door at the S building of the Autumn Ridge Apartments. The group fled when the resident yelled that they were calling police, authorities said.

Arriving officers found three people walking away from a silver Honda Civic that was parked near the apartment, according to officials. Police say they detained the suspects as they tried to flee the area.

While speaking with the suspects, officers found and recovered a loaded, stolen handgun on the floor of the vehicle, authorities said.

While officers tried taking them into custody, one pulled away and attempted to flee on foot, police said. He was quickly captured, according to law enforcement.

The following people were charged and taken to Camden County Jail:

  • William Wiles, 22, of Clementon
  • Adonis Reyes-Nunez, 27, of Camden
  • Alyeesa Adkins, 21, of Camden
  • Asanta Pitts, 26, of Camden

They were all charged with the following:

  • possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose
  • unlawful possession of weapon
  • possession of a large-capacity magazine
  • possession of hollow point bullets
  • receiving stolen property (stolen handgun)

Wiles was also charged with resisting arrest.
