The Katz JCC has received a $16,000 grant to support vital programs for people living with Parkinson's Disease.
CHERRY HILL, NJ — The Betty and Milton Katz Jewish Community Center (Katz JCC) has received a $16,000 grant from the Parkinson’s Foundation to support vital programs for people living with Parkinson’s disease, the Katz JCC announced on Thursday.
The donation will be used to expand its current programming to offer new evidence-based yoga, dance and movement classes that address all levels on the Parkinson’s disease spectrum.
“Thanks to the Parkinson’s Foundation, the Katz JCC’s Parkinson’s Connection program is giving the Parkinson’s community of South Jersey and the surrounding areas the opportunity to fight back against the disease and feel supported by a new community of friends,” Parkinson Connection Coordinator Stacey Macaluso said. “As the fastest growing neurological disease we are helping people with PD and their families ‘live well’ with Parkinson's. Together, The Parkinson’s Foundation and the Katz JCC are committed to making lives better for people with Parkinson’s, and this grant will provide hope for the Parkinson’s community.”
