Cherry Hill MVC Center Closed For Positive Coronavirus Test
The Cherry Hill Motor Vehicle Center has shut down after an employee tested positive for the coronavirus.
CHERRY HILL, NJ — The Cherry Hill Motor Vehicle Center has shut down after an employee tested positive for the coronavirus, the Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) announced Friday morning.
“Cherry Hill Vehicle Center is closed due to an employee testing positive for COVID-19, and will reopen Wednesday, Dec. 9,” MVC announced on Twitter.
It is the second center in South Jersey to close this week. On Tuesday, MVC announced that the West Deptford center was closed for a positive test, and it would reopen Dec. 3. Read more here: West Deptford MVC Center Closed Over Positive Coronavirus Test

As of Friday morning, eight motor vehicle centers were closed due to positive coronavirus tests, according to the MVC's website. In addition to Cherry Hill and West Deptford, centers in Salem, Lodi, Delcano, Lakewood, Flemington and Wayne were closed due to positive coronavirus tests.

The closure comes as the number of coronavirus cases increases locally and nationally. According to the most recent numbers from the Camden County Department of Health, 2,248 Cherry Hill residents have tested positive for the coronavirus and 160 have died since the beginning of the pandemic. Countywide, there have been 18,253 cases of the coronavirus and 607 confirmed deaths.
