Play Ball! Cherry Hill Little League Started Its 66th Season On Saturday
Saturday's opening ceremonies contained a host of dignitaries, vehicles and of course, baseball players, coaches and games.

CHERRY HILL, NJ – The opening day of Cherry Hill American Little League’s season on Saturday took on perhaps a little extra significance this year, the league’s president said.
“We didn't get to have an opening day in 2020 due to COVID. We weren't able to start until around June. And it was a very reduced effort from what we have. Last year, we were able to do an opening day. But again, it was kind of half the speed of where we normally are,” James Tibbetts, Cherry Hill American Little League President, told Patch.
“This year, we're back to normal operations,” he continued. “The kids can play and the vendors are here. First pitches are going out. Everyone's on the field. No one's wearing masks. It's great.”

Representatives from 15 local teams were present for this year’s opening day, which was the 66th in Cherry Hill American Little League history, according to Tibbetts.
Local elected officials, police and fire departments, food and game vendors were also part of the day’s events, he said.
